Admissions

The student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.2 on a 4.0 scale from all previously attended institutions and a minimum of 45 college credit hours collectively.

Students who have been dismissed from previous institutions within the last 12 months cannot be considered for admission to Central State University. If a minimum of 45 credit hours has not been earned, the student will be required to submit their high school transcript and their high school GPA will be considered for admission.

All official transcripts from all previously attended institutions must be submitted to Central State University. A prior enrollment history review is completed on each applicant to identify all previously attended institutions. If an institution is listed on your checklist but you did not attend that institution, an official letter of non-attendance must be submitted to Central State from an officially authorized officer (Registrar, etc.) of that institution. Transcripts can be emailed directly to Central State via at admissions@centralstate.edu or by postal mail to:

Central State University
Office of Online Admissions — Transcripts
PO Box 1004

Official transcripts must come directly from the institution in a sealed envelope. For institutions that have closed, please contact the state Department of Education where the institution is located to retrieve official transcripts.

IMPORTANT: After you apply to CSU, please remember to download the Central State Global Application Document Checklist, add your official transcript order information, then upload it to your application checklist. Our online admissions team will use this document to help research and process your official transcripts to promptly complete your file to render a decision within 14-21 business days.
