Intervention Specialist Education (Mild/Moderate)

Intervention Specialist Education Program 

The Intervention Specialist Education Program leads to the Bachelor of Science in Education Degree and qualifies the candidate to obtain an Ohio license as an Intervention Specialist for the Kindergarten level through grade 12.   

 

Courses of Study

In addition to general education and professional pedagogy, candidates are required to complete content courses in Special Education Law, Introduction to Moderate/Intensive, Instructional Strategies/Mild-Moderate, Collaboration with Parents/Professional Ethics and Responsibilities, Intervention Specialist Curriculum and Assessment, Behavior Management, Careers, and Transitions. A minimum of twelve to fifteen weeks of clinical experience through Student Teaching are required.
