Are you a high school or undergraduate student interested in microelectronics and semiconductors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Central State University is proud to host the 2025 Intel-Sponsored Summer Internship Program in Semiconductors and Microelectronics. This hands-on program is designed to introduce students to key concepts and skills in the field and will take place across three leading academic institutions:
Program Details
- Duration: June 2 to July 25, 2025 (8 Weeks)
- Internship Sites:
- Wright State University (Dayton, OH)
- University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI)
- Prairie View A&M University (Prairie View, TX)
- Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and high school students
Scholarship Benefits
- $5,000 for stipend and food allowance
- Paid accommodation at the internship campuses
Application Deadline: March 31, 2025
Internship Curriculum
- Introduction to Microelectronics Design (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Microelectronics Security (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Printed Circuit Board Fabrication and Design (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Microelectronics Fabrication (1 week)
- Additive Microfabrication of Electronics (1 week)
The Goal and Program Overview
This program is designed to provide you with hands-on training in electronic hardware design, fabrication, and security, preparing you for future career opportunities at leading companies like Intel. A basic understanding of high school mathematics is sufficient, as no prior experience in microelectronics is necessary! This eight-week mentored training program includes daily morning lectures followed by afternoon hands-on lab practice, running five days a week.
