1. Who can help me over the phone?
Due to COVID-19 and limits placed by state and federal governments, Central State University employees are working remotely. In order to better assist you, your inquiries can still be answered by utilizing email. Please allow 24 – 48 hours for a response. Be sure to provide your student ID number, if you have already been admitted to the university.

2. Will this affect timing of admission notification?
The Office of Admissions’ processing time is not affected.
3. Has there been any confirmed COVID-19 cases in the CSU community?
No cases have been confirmed at this time and the University is employing every preventive measure to ensure the safety of all students, faculty and staff.
For Admitted Students
1. Will the remote work schedule affect the timing of admission notification?
The Office of Admissions’ processing times is not affected.
2. Will the enrollment deposit deadline be extended?
The Priority Deadline will still be May 1, 2020, but we will be accepting deposits after this deadline.
3. Will the housing application deadline be extended?
The deadline for housing and immunizations will not be extended at this time. The deadline is August 1, 2020.
4. Will extensions be allowed for final transcripts?
The Office of Admissions will accept unofficial copies of your transcript so there is not a need for extension for final transcripts. Students have until the end of the Fall term to provide their final transcripts.
5. My current school is closed. Will you accept an unofficial transcript?
Yes, the Office of Admissions will accept unofficial copies of your transcript. Students have until the end of the Fall term to provide their final transcripts.
For Prospective Students
1. If I can’t come to campus to visit, what are my other options?
We are currently working tirelessly to provide you with a virtual tour! Once we have the virtual tour complete we will be sure to let you know.
2. Are you processing applications?
The Office of Admissions’ processing time is not affected. We will still process your application.
3. I changed my mind about my field of study after submitting my application and also gave the wrong telephone number. What should I do?
Do not submit another application. After your application has been processed, contact the Office of Admissions to correct your information via email: admissions@centralstate.edu.
4. Who do I contact if I have questions about the application or have a problem completing it?

5. How do I know the status of my application?
Allow 10-14 business days for processing.
You will be notified by email, once you have been admitted from admissions@centralstate.edu. Be sure to check your junk inbox. If you still do not see an email, feel free to contact the Office of Admissions directly via email: admissions@centralstate.edu.
For Transfer Students
1. Will there be an application deadline extension?
The priority deadline for admittance to Central State University is May 1, 2020, but we will be accepting applications and deposits after this deadline.
2. My current school is closed. Will you accept an unofficial transcript?
Yes, the Office of Admissions will accept unofficial copies of your transcript. Students have until the end of the Fall term to provide their final transcripts. Unofficial transcripts can be those issued to students or the ones that students can find on their student portal, as well as screenshots of these unofficial transcripts, as long as it contains the student's name.

5. My current college is closed due to COVID-19. What if my GPA is affected because of this? Will it affect my admission to CSU?
The criteria for admission to Central State University is a 2.2 G.P.A. There is another road that leads to CSU. You may begin your academic career at a local community college of your choice and take appropriate college-level, full-time (12-credits) coursework to build your skills and proficiency. Once you successfully complete that coursework and maintain a minimum 2.2 GPA, we invite you to reapply to Central State University in the Spring.
