The Coronavirus Assistance, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides emergency relief funding. As a part of the CARES Act, Central State University was awarded Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF), which provides grants to assist students with unexpected educational expenses due to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
Central State University signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement in order to receive Emergency funds under the CARES Act. No less than 50 percent of the funds the University received from the CARES Act has been used to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to our students.
