Central State University is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Edward "Eddie" L. Wingard, one of the University's longest-serving academic leaders, who served as dean of the College of Education from 1969 to 1992. Dr. Wingard passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 89.
