The Philosophy & Religion program offers a Minor in Philosophy & Religion and contributes courses to the General Education menu. A Minor in Philosophy and Religion requires completing at least 30 credit hours of Philosophy and Religion courses chosen in consultation with an academic advisor.
Highlights
Students in our African American Religion course host debates and forums featuring various religious leaders from local Christian, Muslim and Hebrew-Israelite communities.
Careers
A Minor in Philosophy & Religion enriches the B.A. or B.S. degree in any field and prepares you for various careers and higher degrees in disciplines such as Philosophy, Public Administration, and Ministries. In any post-baccalaureate plan, faculty mentors and the Career Services Center provide support.
Preparation
For all majors, we suggest you complete four years of high school English and two years of a second language. We encourage your enrollment in Advanced Placement (AP) courses and will negotiate credit, placement, or exemption for AP scores of three (qualified) or higher in the following subjects: Chinese Language and Culture, English Language, English Literature, European History, French Language, French Literature, Spanish Language, World History, and U.S. History.
