Office of Mentoring Programs

The Central State University Office of Mentoring Programs works to enhance positive undergraduate students’ experiences. The mentoring program is designed to increase retention, persistence, and graduation rates among undergraduate students and help students develop relationships with their peers, faculty, staff, and administrators.


The mission of the Office of Mentoring Programs is to help students build relationships that will positively enhance their academic, social, and emotional experiences at Central State University. 


  • Provide students with cogent strategies for successfully transitioning to collegiate environments

  • Emphasize students’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Create opportunities for students to make positive campus connections that establish a sense of belonging on campus
