Urban Food Forest Kick Off

May 18, 2026

From shade and clean air, to windbreaks and wildlife habitat, canopy trees provide us with many gifts. Central State University Extension and The Foodbank are installing an urban orchard and food forest on Central State University’s main campus and want to hear what you value about trees and in particular, trees that produce food for people. We’ll unveil the urban food forest event series and then wrap up with an optional tour of the new agroforestry planting at the Botanical Garden. *In case of inclement weather, meet at Emery Hall, 1400 Brush Row Rd., Wilberforce.
