Students of all majors at Central State University have an exciting opportunity to work at the Ohio Statehouse alongside members of the Ohio Senate or House of Representatives, gaining hands-on experience in the legislative process.

Department of Energy Scholars Program

The Department of Energy Scholars Program provides internships for Communications, Art, Social Sciences, English, History, and Education students.

Reading and math tutors needed!

Jefferson Township Local School District

ELA- The CSU student or graduate must be well-versed in writing a well-developed high school paper with a thesis and counterargument.

Math- The CSU student or graduate must be well-versed in algebra, basic geometry, multiplication, and fractions.

Tutors will be provided with curriculum and training. The pay will be $25 to $30 an hour. Tutoring will be after school, and it would be around 3 to 5 days a week.

Preschool Promise Scholars and Equity Programs

What Preschool Promise will do: 

We offer the Scholars help to be successful in pursuing their degree by: 

1.  Paying up to $10,000 a year for tuition ($5,000 for the Fall, $5,000 for the Spring, Summer tuition contingent on available funding). Preschool Promise does not pay for late fees, health insurance costs, or room and board. 

2.  Paying for books and other necessary supplies. 

3.  Providing advice and support to help them navigate study techniques and challenges that arise 

4.  Paying a completion stipend at the end of their degree, when they submit a copy of their new credential ($1,500 for Bachelor’s). Paid within 30 days of receiving a copy of the official diploma.

Assistant Teachers with a CDA pay range is $15-$17/hr. Lead Teachers (AA or BA/BS required) annual starting salary is $45,000-$50,000. We offer a generous benefits package for full-time team members:
