Library Services During COVID-19

Library Remote Learning Support

The Hallie Q. Brown Memorial Library is committed to the academic success of faculty and students. As students and faculty adjust to the online delivery of instruction, we encourage faculty to use the licensed library content as part of their online instruction.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to contact the library for remote guidance via email

Accessing Electronic Resources from Off-Campus

Most electronic resources, especially the research databases, eBooks, and streaming video content to which the library subscribes are governed by license agreements that restricts access to current Central State University students, faculty and staff when accessed from off-campus. Remote access to these resources requires authentication using your name and CSU 14 digit barcode number: (Contact the library for barcode).  When contacting the library, please provide your name and ID number.

Renewing Library Items

  1. Online: From Hallie, login to My Library Record (located top right of the page)
  2. Enter your name and 14 digit barcode number located on the front of your CSU ID
  3. Submit the request
  4. Click on the tab for Checked Out Items
  5. Check the box for material(s) to be renewed
  6. Click submit
  7. Don’t forget to logout of your Library Record
