Urban & Small-scale Farming Conference

Join us for the Urban & Small-scale Farm Connection Conference, a dynamic gathering designed for growers, researchers, educators, and advocates passionate about the future of city and small-scale agriculture. This unique event explores the intersection of science and practice, featuring cutting-edge research, hands-on workshops, and real-world solutions tailored to the challenges and opportunities of urban and small-scale farming. Whether you're cultivating rooftops, backyards, or community plots, this Urban and Small-scale Farm Connection Conference offers a powerful platform to connect, learn, and innovate with leaders shaping the next generation of resilient, sustainable food systems. In addition to concurrent sessions for adults, there will be a children's conference for ages 5-12.

This annual gathering explores the intersection of science and practice, featuring cutting-edge research, hands-on workshops, and real-world solutions tailored to the challenges and opportunities of urban and small-scale farming.  

We invite farmers of any size farms, in urban or rural areas, to attend the conference to connect with other farmers, researchers, USDA agencies, and others. They are invited to be part of the discussion and to provide insight for local food systems.

Conference Highlights include:

• Concurrent sessions for adults and a children’s conference for ages 5–12. 
• Expert-led workshops addressing sustainability, productivity, and market trends. 
• Networking opportunities with farmers, educators, and industry professionals.

This conference is offered at no cost to farmers as part of the USDA 2501 grant, which provides professional development opportunities for underserved farmers. The conference is open to any Ohio farmer who is interested in attending.
