CSU Dayton entrance

Greetings and welcome to the Central State University-Dayton location.  Since 1887, Central State has been committed to providing education that changes lives.  As an 1890 Land-Grant Institution, Central is continuing this legacy of changing lives.  Formerly known as CSU West, we are carrying on the legacy of excellence, convenience, and care established in the early 1970s.

Through our Dayton location, Central State is working to engage the community in strategic and meaningful partnerships. This past year has seen many changes and accomplishments.  Below are just a few:

These are just a few of the projects that we have supported in past years.  We are excited about our location being a change agent helping to establish programs and support for the West Side and the Greater Dayton area.  We will also continue to be optimistic and excited about the opportunity to continue this legacy of service and change.

Please consider us as your choice to begin your educational journey, transfer to complete your degree, or to host your next event or small conference.  We are here to serve and support.

# Your Life!  #Your Dreams!  #Your Future!  #Your Partner!

Sincerely,

Director, Central State University-Dayton

In the 21st century, Central State University Extension (CSUE) must integrate a community-based Extension model that focuses on a holistic program service approach that addresses a) methods of youth development, b) delivery of research-based science to families, and c) outreach to share new knowledge to farmers and communities. To achieve this, CSUE has placed a County Agent in all five of Ohio’s major cities/county locations. Each County Agent has a level of responsibility in each program area; as a result, CSUE is able to assimilate and transform its Extension programs from a socioeconomic and technical standpoint to cohesively address the needs of under-represented citizens (youth, family, businesses, farmers, and non-farmers) of Ohio located in socially disadvantaged, limited-resources, and underserved communities.
