Technical Assistance and Financial Education Project (TAFE)

As a grower or farmer, whether you are just starting out or have many years of experience, there are times when you need to borrow money to start, expand, sustain or make changes to you business. If you are thinking about applying for a loan, consider the following:

It is likely that you will need to finance some aspect of your farm business. CSU received a federal grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Farm Service Agency (FSA) to provide education, outreach, and technical assistance to small and minority farmers in Ohio. CSU established key business specialists that will administer the Technical Assistance and Financial Education Project (TAFE). Through this grant, TAFE assists farmers to own, maintain, and operate your farm independently and helps to improve overall management skills.

CSU TAFE will offer a series of workshops that will provide an overview of programs, loans, and services available through the FSA. Our team of agribusiness specialists are a one-stop resource to help farmers get easy to access, reliable information for technical assistance and financial resources in growing their business.

The TAFE Team of Central State University College of Business focuses on the business and economics of production, operations, management, marketing and finance in organizations engaged in agriculture. All services provided at no cost to the participants.
