Timely Warnings


20-0304-01: 20-0304-01: The Central State Police Department is interested in speaking with CSU Student Alexander Walker concerning threats made against the university. If you see him on campus, or know his whereabouts, please contact CSU PD dispatch immediately at: 937-376-5111. Ask to speak with a Central State Police Officer.
Update: CSU Police have contacted Mr. Walker. The matter has been resolved.



20-0001-01: 20-0201-01: On January 24, 2020 at approximately 0900 the campus received a low-level threat in the Newsom Administration Building. Necessary precautions are being taken to secure the Newsom Administration Building, Paul Robeson Cultural & Performing Arts Center, and the Charles H. Wesley Arts & Science Building. You are advised to stay clear of the area, all classes in the buildings are suspended until further notice.
Update: At approximately 12:15 p.m. all buildings were cleared for access. Classes in Paul Robeson Cultural & Performing Arts Center, and the Charles H. Wesley Arts & Science Building have been canceled for the remainder of the day. The Newsom Administration Building remains closed to students and visitors. The investigation is being handled by the Ohio State Patrol Xenia Post.
Update: January 27, 2020 at 8AM, The Newsom Administration Building is open to the campus community. The operating status of the university is “Normal Operations”.



19-0001-02: On February 25, 2019 at approximately 12:00 p.m. (12 :00) a CSU student made a violent threat against the university while speaking with a professor. 3:44 p.m. (15:44) the Timely Warning has been cancelled. The student has been located and is cooperating with the police. The incident remains under investigation by CSU Police and The Director of Student Engagement and Conduct Office.



18-1769-09: On Sept. 25, 2018 at approximatley 1:36 a.m., there was a felonious assault committed on a male student in the administration parking lot. A weapon was displayed by the victim and suspect. Two students have been arrested and charged with multiple offenses. No serious injuries were sustained by either party. Case is closed.
