Robyn Rahming: Ms. CSU
Robyn Rahming is a native from Nassau, New Providence, the capital of The Bahamas. She is a graduating senior at Central State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design. She serves as the Alto section leader in The Grammy-nominated Central State University Chorus and the past President of the International Student Organization. Currently, she serves as the 72nd and first Bahamian, Ms. Central State University 2019-2020. Due to challenging life experiences, Rahming has made herself a servant and inspiration for women and men who have been raped and sexually assaulted.
Being the case, Rahming plans to use her platform and skills in Graphic Design to bring awareness to a topic such as this. After gaining experience in her field, she plans to attend graduate school to obtain her masters in Experiential Graphic Design, which will further the awareness of sexual violence and rape.
The biblical verse, Psalm 100:5 “For the LORD is good, and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” has been an anchor for Rahming as she matriculated through college and life. Rahming tries to be the light in areas where there is none and to uplift others with this verse reminding them, as well as herself, that no matter how things look, God is in control and he will never leave you.
