The Educational Studies (EDS) program leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS). Educational Studies is a non-licensure degree program and does not lead to a license in education. 

The English program provides a strong foundation in the study of the English language and literatures and offers the B.A. in English Literature or Pre-law focus, a Minor in English, and a Minor in English Creative Writing.

The study of English literature helps students develop creative thinking, effective communication, critical reading, analysis, and research skills; all of which are highly sought after by employers now and in the future. We encourage students from every major to add a Minor in English Literature in order to better develop these skills while adding a crucial line to their résumé.

The B.A. in English Pre-Law track requires additional coursework in Business, Communication, History, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology.

The overall Water Resources Management engineering curriculum consists of major components of mathematics (through differential equations and calculus III), basic sciences, engineering sciences, humanities & fine arts, and social & behavioral sciences

In concert with the mission of the University, Exercise Science faculty foster the professional development of students through academic excellence, and provide educational opportunities to students to be competitive in a technological society.   

The Department of Health and Human Performance offers the Recreation Program that leads to a Bachelor of Science.

The History program offers the B.A. degree and Minor in History, with emphases on American, African American, Asian, Middle East, Islamic, and global histories, and contributes courses to the Minor in African Studies. Students develop the following skill sets: critical thinking; multi-cultural and global perspectives; and application of historical and other social scientific research methods.

The Central State University Honors College is an interdisciplinary home for highly motivated and high-achieving students. Students' commitment to excellence, leadership in community service, and impressive academic records qualify them to join the honors community–a select group of highly motivated, energetic, imaginative, and dedicated student leaders and scholars.

Admitted Honors Students in good standing have four options for graduating with Honors College Designations 

• General Honors
• Honors in the Major
• University Honors
• International Honors

The four-year BS degree program in Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) is one of few such programs in the nation which are dedicated to undergraduate manufacturing engineering education.  The Manufacturing Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

The Integrated Language Arts Education Program leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) and a license in education. 

The Integrated Mathematics Education Program leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) and a license in education.
