Jim Champion holds a MFA in Visual Art from the University of North Dakota with an emphasis in Ceramics. His BFA undergraduate degree is an emphasis in Sculpture from the University of Mississippi. Additional degrees include an MA in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville and a Graduate Certificate in Ceramics from Hood College.
Jim's work covers a wide range that encompassing functional wheel thrown vessels to performance based sculptures that manipulate ice, water, time, gravity, and sound. Professor Champion has shown nationally and internationally, participated in solo and group shows, and is represented in both private and pubic collection.
