Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (1 in 6 part series) Register
The Diabetes Education Empowerment Program™ (DEEP™) is a six-week series designed to improve health literacy and healthcare quality among people with diabetes and pre-diabetes. DEEP™ is a Medicare –approved, evidence- based diabetes self-management education program developed by the University of Illinois at Chicago. DEEP™ provides a supportive environment where participants work together in a small group to ensure that people with diabetes and pre-diabetes can acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to reduce complications resulting from diabetes such as kidney failure, amputation, vision loss, heart failure and stroke.
Topics discussed include: Understanding the human body, diabetes risk factors and complications, nutrition education and meal planning, physical activity, accessing health care and managing stress.

Do you love music and like to dance, but don't have a partner? Learn to line dance! Line dancing offers repetitive steps in sync with the music - so get in line! Make new friends and learn new songs. Various experience and dancing levels welcome.
Parents are encouraged to participate!
Those who attend 6 or more meetings will receive a certificate and special recognition.

Calling all potential Volunteers! Would you like to help inspire young minds? Do you enjoy helping others? Do you have a skill to share (cooking, gardening, sewing, robotics, science, skills in playing chess, etc.)? Would you enjoy helping with general office duties? Learn what is expected and how to become a 4-H Volunteer and or CSU Extension Volunteer. If you would like to find out more about how to volunteer and what is expected attend this informational meeting or call and schedule a meeting time that fits your schedule.

Discovery Day Camp – CSU Xenia
Central State University Extension’s Discovery Day Camp is an engaging youth summer program for rising 3rd-5thgrade students. Each day will focus on a different theme and explore science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and mathematics (STEM) through experiential learning. Students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.
