Why did you choose CSU?
I always wanted to attend a Historically Black College or University. Being for Chicago, this was the closest one to my hometown. I also loved the vibe and energy. I wanted to attend a school where I could be challenged academically and the staff here really took time to work with me and guide me. Central State University also had a historic ROTC program. We were the first HBCU in the country to have a ROTC program and I definitely wanted to be a part of that.
What do you plan on doing when you graduate?
After graduating from Central State University, I plan to continue my military career and use my degree to become an army officer, and also work in the JAG unit.
What do you like most about CSU
I love the feeling of being at home; everyone makes you feel like you are welcome. Central is one of the smaller universities so you are more than just an id number; you’re a person.
