Why did you choose CSU?
I honestly did not choose CSU, Central chose me. I was supposed to attend University of Akron, but I was stressing on how I would pay for it. Two days later, Central called me and told me that I was given the Freshman Scholarship, and based on my FAFSA I would not have a balance. This was basically a blessing, and the next day I was at Central State for Pirate week.

Favorite CSU memory?
My favorite CSU memory is “Pirate Week.” The week right before classes start, and all the incoming freshmen move in before upperclassmen. That whole week we bond as an incoming class and get to know one another. Also, we got to experience campus for ourselves and what Central is about. We learned about how to transition from high school to college, as well as some Central State history, and of course we had fun. Pirate Week honestly made me love my HBCU.

What do you like most about CSU?
Central State is truly a family environment, it is my home away from home. I made life, long friends from different areas, as well as people who live in the same city as me. Everyone here looks out for one another, and you will never have to worry about being a lone. Also, there are plenty of organizations and activities to get involved in on campus. Therefore, once my school work is done, I am never bored, there is always something to do.

Like most of my peers, what I love most about Central State is the family oriented student body. Not to sound cliché, but the atmosphere is awesome. It's shocking at first if you are not use to it, but everyone here treats me like I am family and really encourages me to be successful.

Favorite CSU Memory / Place to be on campus?
I celebrated my birthday on campus this year and it was awesome. Being away from home for my birthday, I thought that I would end up being a little homesick, but the students here all came out to celebrate with me and made sure I had a great time. It felt like I was at home. The best place to be on campus is our new University Student Center. I'm in there all the time (between classes of course!). My friends and I are always at the WOW, in the game room, or just in the cafe eating at the mongolian grill. Although I was recently stung by a bee walking in the building, it is still one of the top places to be at.

Why did you choose CSU?

I didn’t choose CSU, It chose me. I say this because I was originally supposed to go to another HBCU, but due to financial reason I didn’t make it there. I then took a whole year off and that next fall I was introduced to Central State. At first I did think I would enjoy myself here and thought it would be just a school to attend to further myself. The more I got involved the more I fell in love with Central. Central has help me grow in more ways than I could have ever imaged!.

What do you like most about CSU?

Here at Central we are very family oriented! I love how small and close nit we are. I also like that everyone is almost involved in some organization here on campus.

Why did you choose CSU?
I chose to attend Central State University for two reason; One, because it was affordable and two because felt a great sense of unity throughout the campus. My parents and I both thought that with the numerous scholarship opportunities, the tuition was manageable.  You can really see how unified the faculty and student body is. Being a part of this family has allowed me to network with people that share similar goals. I been able to be mentored by people that have worked in the same field that I intend to work in. I’m glad that I’ve made the “smart” choice.

What do you plan on doing when you graduate?
When I graduate from Central, I plan to attend law school and I have already begun working with my advisors to find a law program that fits me. The plan is to practice patent law, specifically for engineers.

What do you like most about CSU?
What I love most about Central State University is how culturally diverse our campus is. Although it is a HBCU, we all come from various demographic, cultural and religious backgrounds. And with all the various organizations and clubs, we’re all learning to accept and respect each other differences.
