Why did you choose CSU?

I chose to attend Central because of the wealth of opportunities available here as well as the wonderful family atmosphere that comes from a small close knit community and campus. Central was also close to home but far enough away where I could really get a chance to feel the full college experience.

What do you like most about CSU
I love the fact that CSU is smaller than most schools in size, as this helps me to stay focused on what we attend school for; to gain a better education. We also have many helpful resources that help us prepare for life after graduation.

Why did you choose CSU?
Central State University was one of the first places to accept me. Because of that, I jumped straight on this opportunity. I knew immediately that CSU was the place for me. Also, I wanted to attend a Historically Black College, and it’s not too far away from home but it’s far enough for me to get the “away from home” experience.

After I graduate from Central, I plan on going to graduate school and pursuing a business degree. Ultimately, I would like to work for a successful television production company like ESPN, TBS, Disney etc. Eventually I plan owning my own production company.

What do you like most about CSU?
The thing I love most about Central is the fact that they give people like myself a second chance to make something of ourselves and that the professors are really sincere about helping you succeed. Since I've been at Central State University, I've had the opportunity to speak to high school students that are just like I was in high school. I spoke with them about the importance of obtaining a college degree. I've been able to share my experiences with students that may not have considered attending a college or university and offer them a different view on what their future could be.

What do you like most about CSU
What I love most about Central State University is that there are people here that care about you, both staff and students. With the small classroom sizes, you aren’t just recognized by a number but the staff actually take the time to get to know you as an individual. Central State University is a small institution with huge opportunities.

What do you like most about CSU
I love how unique Central State is and how invested everyone is in my success. I wouldn't say that Central is for everybody, but if you are looking for a school that is dedicated to teaching and preparing you for your future, Central is the place. Other institutions told me they where a family oriented campus, but Central was the only one that I could actual see it and feel it. And, they have lived up to their word. I'm not just a number here, but nor am I just a student. It's as if I'm part of a huge family.

I chose to attend Central State University because of the tour I took when I was a senior in high school. Seeing the family–knit community and cultural traditions attracted me to CSU. Since being here, I have developed a second family. There’s nothing that the staff wont do for you. I have been able to participate in a lot of different activities and I have even had the opportunity to travel. The University has a phenomenal STEM program and the teachers really seem to care about my success academically. Also, my mother graduated from CSU and spoke highly of her experience here as well.

What do you like most about CSU?
One of my greatest experiences here at Central State University was Homecoming Weekend. From the vendors’ fairs to the step-show, there was always something to do. I also had the chance to meet with alumni from all over the country and hear about their experiences at Central. There are a lot of things that I love about Central State, but that has to be one of the most memorable times. Also, I would have to say campaign week. I had the opportunity to run for Mr. Junior and participate in the Mr. & Miss Central State University Pageant. I had a lot fun campaigning that week and really appreciated how the students and staff supported me.

The opportunities at Central State University are endless.  In my first year at CSU, I had incredible experiences in and outside of the classroom. I don’t think any other university would have offered me the opportunities that I’ve been able to participate in here. What I love most about the University are the people. A lot of other universities claim to have a family feel, but it's evident on CSU's campus. I came here by myself and from the day I stepped foot on CSU campus, I have been shown lots of love and support. I couldn't see myself at any other institution.

Why did you choose CSU?
I chose to attend Central State University for two reason; One, because it was affordable and two because felt a great sense of unity throughout the campus. My parents and I both thought that with the numerous scholarship opportunities, the tuition was manageable.  You can really see how unified the faculty and student body is. Being a part of this family has allowed me to network with people that share similar goals. I been able to be mentored by people that have worked in the same field that I intend to work in. I’m glad that I’ve made the “smart” choice.

What do you plan on doing when you graduate?
When I graduate from Central, I plan to attend law school and I have already begun working with my advisors to find a law program that fits me. The plan is to practice patent law, specifically for engineers.

What do you like most about CSU?
What I love most about Central State University is how culturally diverse our campus is. Although it is a HBCU, we all come from various demographic, cultural and religious backgrounds. And with all the various organizations and clubs, we’re all learning to accept and respect each other differences.
