Central State University’s Dayton Campus will induct 14 adult education students as charter members of the Mu Pi Chapter in the Alpha Sigma Lambda national honor society for nontraditional students at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in the Dayton Campus Auditorium, 840 Germantown Street.
“This is a chance for Central State to honor students at the Dayton campus who are trailblazers and truly are leaders in our community and institution,” said Dr. Lenora Brogdon-Wyatt, Executive Director of Central State University-Dayton Campus.
Alpha Sigma Lambda’s aim is to recognize achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. To qualify for the honor, students must have earned 30 semester hours at CSU’s Dayton Campus, (15 of the 30 hours must be in Arts and Sciences) with a 3.2 or higher grade point average. The Dayton campus chapter will be one of 12 in the state.
Friends, family, and the community are invited to join the special ceremony.
