Amendment to these articles may be proposed in writing by any financial member.
By petition from any active Alumni Chapter.
By resolution adopted by the Board of Directors
By the Constitution Committee
Section 2. Process
Proposed amendments to this Constitution must be submitted to the
Chairman of the Constitution Committee, postmarked no later than
December 1 of the even numbered year
Proposed amendments may be discussed with the Association’s
membership during the odd numbered year
Proposed amendments to this constitution shall be considered for
At the next meeting of the General Alumni Association provided the proposed amendments are circulated and postmarked 30 days before the meeting.
The Constitution Committee may edit all submitted proposals and
Recommended changes for language clairity, spelling, punctuation and grammer but cannot alter the intent of the proposed admendment.
The Constitution Committee shall consider any and all proposed
Amendments submitted, make recommendation relative to each and submit them to the Director of Alumni Relations for submission to the members in the next mailing of the Alumni Newsletter or Alumni Journal.
An affirmative vote of two-thirds of the total votes cast shall be required
to amend this Constitution.
