Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§      Serve as key point of contact for all administrative functions of the office in areas such as filing, database information, copying, binding, receipt and distribution of documents, mail and faxes, deliveries, budget data, etc.

§      Provide project/program support.

§      Supports Department Chair, VP. Serves as general office receptionist, responsibilities include scheduling meetings, answering and routing incoming calls and inquiries, clerical tasks, obtaining signature approvals and greeting/assisting guests, faculty, staff and students.

§      Retain current band members and recruit new members. Travel to recruit members, instruments, band/auxiliary uniforms.

§      Schedule and track hundreds of prospective students for auditions.

§      Reserve facilities and other arrangements for all university band camps.

§      Perform related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

§      Excellent skills in the following areas: secretarial, receptionist, organizational, written, verbal, phone and customer service and people skills.

§      Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.

§      High ethical standards and the ability to maintain the confidence of others while working in a highly competitive atmosphere.

§      Knowledge of music and band repertoire.

§      Ability to travel in and out of state, have high ethical standards, work independently and be a team player.

Minimum Qualifications:

§      Education: High School Diploma required.

§      Experience: Experience as an Assistant Band Director or a related position.  2 years Admissions experience preferred.
