Convocation Series:Talib Kweli
On September 15 renowned hip-hop lyricist and activist Talib Kweli visited Central State University to jump start the 2009-2010 Convocation Series entitled "Change is Central". In his speech he shared anecdotes of his experience in the music industry and gave advice to young adults aspiring to follow in his footsteps. Kweli encouraged students to be true to who they are and to never stop chasing their dreams.
Students in select classes were also asked to participate in a Master Class where Talib Kweli spoke on a more personal level to a smaller group. They were allowed to ask questions and gain all of the knowledge they could from Kweli about his work and experience.
