The Pre-Law Society

title The CSU Pre-Law Society

Founded in October of 2005, the Pre-Law Society at Central State University is one of the most active and exciting student organizations on campus. Its mission is to successfully transition the pre-law student into the legal profession through a holistic approach of scholarship, service and moral principles.

Pre-Law Society Members are expected to be ethical, diligent, and committed to making a change.  Any mission of change, however, first comes through proper preparation and proper preparation takes hard work.  We expect the very best of each member and nothing less.

Motto: Excellence is the only standard!

Mission: To successfully transition the Central State University student into the legal profession through a holistic approach of scholarship, service, and moral principles.

Purpose: To create a critical minded student who is well prepared for the rigors of law school and the practice of law.

Vision: To become an institution recognized as the national leader in producing minority lawyers for the next generation.

**We invite you to be with the best to become the best**

Here are what others are saying.......

...Central State is on the revolutionary edge of designing a pre law curriculum that is unique in the United States..."

Kent Lollis, Executive Director for Diversity Initiatives-LSAC

"I now am more marketable to not only be admitted to choice law schools but to be eligible for scholarship monies as well."

J. Beckham, CSU alumni

"...student can easily be lost in the shuffle and not always have strong faculty support as they pursue individual goals. The Pre-Law Program here at Central State University has not allowed that to happen."

T. Porter, CSU graduate student

"I believe every student aspiring a legal degree needs to visit their office, join the Pre-Law Society, and indulge in the many opportunities to prepare for law school."

L. Ivey, CSU alumni
