Many college students that leave home for the first time may experience various emotional problems. Some may include homesickness, family problems back home, low self-esteem, a lack of self-confidence, general anxiety, problems concentrating, roommate or relationship problems and stress and depression due to academic and financial concerns. There can be many other issues that students will experience and will need to get their problems resolved as early as possible. The longer the problem goes unsolved or if not address at all, more serious mental health problems can develop that will interfere with the student’s ability to function academically and or socially.
Getting adjusted to college life is made smoother when there are positive and competent staff members available to offer guidance and support to students. No student has to feel alone. The professional counseling service is here and waiting to support you.
Counseling Services provides a “SAFE ZONE” for confidentiality, courtesy, respect, honesty and competency.
