A new support group at Central State University's Counseling Center is forming and is accepting members. This group focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where participants can talk about relationship issues, specifically the we make. This group will take place on Tuesdays 4:15 - 7:45 PM starting May 26th and ending June 30th in the conference room of the student Health Center located in the Lackey-Lee Building.
Participants have the opportunity, with guidance, to bring attention to that which is working and not working in their lives and to support other members to do the same. There is no pressure to reveal private information until a member feels ready to do so. This is a wonderful opportunity to have fun, laugh, and experience the wisdom, camaraderie, and compassion of other women. Members must agree to maintain the confidentiality of all group sessions.
This support group will focus on:
- helping you as a woman share experiences about loving relationships and the choices the make;
- helping you better understand yourself and others;
- providing a safe, confidential space where women can share, learn and offer each other support;
- provide opportunities to practice new, hopefully more productive of communicating;
- build your intuition about relationships and get inspired to live your best life
The Women's Support Group will be facilitated by Lauren Miller. MS. LPCC of Central State University's Counseling Services
