Gayle Barge

Dr. Gayle Colston Barge joined Central State University as the Director of University Public Relations in July 2012.  She has served in marketing, communications, and publicaffairs leadership positions in the public and private sector for over 25 years.  Dr. Barge was Assistant Vice Chancellor, Chief Marketing, and Communications Officer at Winston-Salem State University and Director of Marketing and Communications at Texas Southern University.  She received a doctorate degree in education from Pepperdine University in Organization Change; a master’s degree in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree from Minot State University.
