Central State Athletics Well Represented at Graduation

            The 2008 graduating class of Central State University saw over 40 student-athletes walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. These student-athletes represented 20 percent of the graduates.

 

            Christopher Clark, a member of the football team received honors as the Class Scholar with the highest GPA amongst the graduating class. Clark graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

 

            Nine of the former student-athletes graduated with honors, they included: Charmone Adams, Men’s Basketball, DeShawnda Bailey, Women’s Track and Field, Latonya Crowder, Women’s Basketball, Tiffanie Jones, Women’s Basketball and Tennis, Taya Kid, Women’s Basketball, Amos Nsengimana, Football , Dominique Squires, Cheerleader, Latisha Walker, Women’s Basketball.

 

            Also graduating were: Dominique Baker, Cheerleader, Hannah Boxley, Women’s Volleyball, Ava-Gay Campbell, Women’s Track and Field, Timothy Cannon, Football , Michelle Catchings, Women’s Basketball, Thomas Coleman, Football , Tywan Corbit, Men’s Basketball, Kimyata Darling, Men’s Basketball Manager, Zaryk Davis, Men’s Track and Field, Whitney Fletcher, Men’s Volleyball, Lashawn Grant, Dance, Reginald Hairston, Football , James Hampton, Men’s Tennis, Akia Harper, Women’s Track and Field and Women’s Volleyball, Micah Harris, Women’s Golf , Anthony Jackson, Men’s Track and Field and Men’s Golf, Rico Middlebrooks, Football , Henderson Mosley, Football , Derrick Moss Football , Knetra Nelson, Women’s Basketball and Volleyball, Ronald Perry Football , Brione Prince, Football and Men’s Track and Field, Gemyale Pullins, Men’s Volleyball, Karrol Rob inson, Football , Ryan Rogers, Men’s Basketball, Herman Scott, Football , Mario Sturdivant, Men’s Basketball, Aamir Terry, Men’s Track and Field and was also commissioned as a 2nd.
