We provide information on how to use the library for research, including:

  • Instruction on using the Hallie library catalog and OhioLINK
  • Instruction on using Research Databases
  • Hands-on research help for class projects
  • Workshops

Faculty Support

Help your students produce quality research papers by using the H. Q. Brown library resources. To schedule a session, contact the reference department by email ( or by phone at (937) 376-6454. Please contact us at least one week in advance of your desired visit to allow librarians some time to prepare for your session.  Sessions will be held in the library or a location of your choice.

Faculty Tips

  • Provide the librarian with a copy of the research assignment.
  • Provide the librarian with some of the students' topics.
  • Make sure your students are prepared for the library visit.
  • Specify the type of resources necessary to complete the research assignment.
  • Attend the session.
