Honors Program - Criteria


Honors Program participants must meet both of the following criteria on freshman admission:

  • Combined SAT Score of 990 or above; ACT Composite Score of 21
  • At least a 3.0 GPA (Grade Point Average) on a 4.0 scale

Students who do not enter the Honors Program as incoming freshmen may be invited to join the program at the end of the first year, if their academic work is outstanding

Maintaining Honors Status:

  • Full-time student status
  • Minimum of cumulative 3.2 GPA annually
  • Any “D,” “F,” or “Z” grade must be upgraded to at least a “C” grade
