Honors Program - Curriculum
The Honors Program curriculum involves:
- Honors Study Contracts. Honors scholoars receive honors credit for General Education courses, or other courses, by contracting for honors assignments and projects over and above the regular course requirements;
- In addition, the curriculum includes two honors colloquium courses (HON-300). The colloquium is conceived as a seminar-type course that is interdisciplinary in nature. (Requirement: 6 credit hours);
- Honors students are also required to write an honors thesis or complete an honors project within the major. (HON-400), starting no later than the beginning of the junior year to allow time to satisfactorily conduct a meaningful research by the Spring quarter of the senior year.
