The National Science Foundation Benjamin Banneker Scholarship Program
Through its NSF-Benjamin Banneker Scholarship Program, Central State University (CSU) is strengthening its Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs and broadening the STEM workforce by offering merit-based scholarships, in conjunction with academic and other student support, to high-achieving high school seniors or transfer students. This academic scholarship is a one-year $7,500 award which is granted at a rate of $3,750 per semester.

The “Diversifying STEM in Ohio” (DO-STEM) Scholarship
Central State University (CSU), the only publicly funded Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Ohio, in collaboration with Area Public Schools, Community Colleges, and Universities throughout Ohio and Private Industry have been funded by the Ohio Board of Regents to implement “Diversifying Ohio in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics” (DO-STEM) to provide scholarships under a five-year program that will stimulate and diversify STEM postsecondary education in Ohio. The DO-STEM team has 823 scholarships, averaging $3,735 each, for a total amount of $3,073,948 to provide merit based scholarships in order to attract the best and brightest students to our campus creates adverse financial circumstances that larger universities do not have.
