Academic Advising and Assistance
The mission of the Office of Academic Advising and Assistance Unit of the University College Learning Center (UCLC) at CSU is to provide opportunities for all students to receive timely and effective assistance in both the selection of academic courses and with developing strategies for achieving stated career goals. The University College Learning Center provides resources and coordinates programs that create a vital freshman experience for entering students with the goal of increased satisfaction and retention of freshmen. As a student-focused center, the UCLC and the Advisors of OAAA will develop partnerships and serve as liaisons with the Colleges and Academic Departments to implement an academic advising delivery system which places student learning, success and retention as top priorities of their collaborative efforts. OAAA offers individualized assistance to students in formulating solutions to problems they may encounter at the University and in defining and developing realistic educational goals.
