titleEarly Start Summer Bridge Program

advisingThe Early Start Summer Bridge Program is an initiative designed to help the first year college student develop or improve the skills that are necessary for a smooth transition from high school to college.  The program is conducted over a six week period and engages the students in enrichment classes to improve skills in Writing, Math, Speaking, Reading and Critical Thinking.  The Program accepts “special-admit” students and absorbs the cost for participants’ room and board.  “Special-admit” students are those student who do not meet all of the University’s formal academic requirements for admission, but whom the University believes can be successful academically with support and monitoring.

At the end of the Summer Bridge Program students are registered for classes for the ensuing Fall Quarter.  The Support Services office will closely monitor the progress of students and support them in their efforts to achieve a successful completion of their first year of matriculation at  Central State University.
