The Institute of Urban Education is proud to present as part of their program a conference that focuses on assisting urban educators in their settings. This is our fifth year bringing together teachers, college professors, administrators, teacher candidates, as well as preservice teachers to our campus. The afternoon sessions will be held in our new building-The Center for Education and Natural Sciences. There is an evening session at Cedarville University.

This year the main speaker will be Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu, a renowned scholar and author who is the president of the Chicago-based communications firm -African American Images Inc. He is the co-author of the afrocentric/multicultural curriculum SETCLAE (Self-Esteem Through Culture Leads to Academic Excellence).
