Where
do I park?



There are several places to park on and off campus.  We are encouraging people to park at
Wilberforce University’s Alumni Multi Plex parking lot.  Shuttles are provided. Shuttles will run in
the morning from 7:30 am -10:30 am and again in the afternoon from 4:00pm –
6:00pm to return you to your cars. Afternoon buses will load in front of the
Norman Ward Center. You many also park in the administration parking and behind
the Safety and Security building. DO
NOT
park in reserved spaces or
on yellow curbs.



Where will the shuttles drop me off?



You will be dropped off besides the Administration
building where it is a short walk to the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Center.



Where
do I Check-In?



Check-In is in the lobby of the Paul Robeson Performing Arts Center starting at 8:15am.
There will be several tables for registration. General registration will be at
the first two tables on the right when you enter the lobby. If you have not registered
please make your way to the Day Of registration table.



What
do I do after I check in?



We have a beverage bar for your enjoyment. After you have
enjoyed a beverage please make your way into the main auditorium. The morning
session will start at 9:00am.



Where
do I eat lunch?



During check- in you will be given a lunch ticket. Lunch
will be serve from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Due to the size of this conference we
have two lunch venues, the Norman Ward Center, and the Beacom/Lewis Gymnasium .
Please check your tickets. This will tell you which venue you are to eat. You
MUST have a ticket to eat lunch. Please refer to your campus maps for lunch
venues. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

The Institute of Urban Education, established on the campus of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio to service all aspects of urban education in Ohio, is preparing for another National Urban Education Conference on January 18, 2012. "The conference is designed to challenge and motivate educators to do a better job of teaching and reaching young people in urban learning environments," states Dr. Kaye Manson Jeter, the Executive Director of the Institute
The conference will have a number of sessions for teachers, administrators, community workers, university students and professors of education.
