Dr. John C. Bidwell


Assistant Professor of Mathematics


Professor John Bidwell grew up around Santa Cruz, California. After high school he learned computer programming at a technical school and worked as a programmer for several years. At age 28 he entered Hawaii Community College and transferred the next year to The University of Hawaii at Hilo, graduating in 1998 with a bachelors in mathematics. From there he enrolled in the mathematics program at North Carolina State University, with major study in classical analysis, topology, and Linear/Lie algebras. Professor Bidwell received his Ph D in 2004, and began teaching at the University of Toledo, and then joined Central State in the Fall of 2008.

Research Interests : Dynamical Systems/Difference equations, summability, point set topology.
