Leaders, Executives, Entrepreneurs, and Directors Program

LEED is an annual program presented by the Central State University College of Business to promote a networking environment for the students. Leaders, Executives, Entrepreneurs, and Directors convey their practical and substantive knowledge with the schools most prized assets, our students.

The 2018 LEED event will be April 4-5, 2018.

The 2018 L.E.E.D keynote speaker, Loretta J. Mester, Ph.D., is president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Dr. Mester participates in the formulation of U.S. monetary policy, and oversees
950 employees in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh who conduct economic research, supervise banking institutions, and provide payment services to commercial banks and the U.S. government. She assumed her role as president and CEO in June, 2014.

Andre Sanders is the Director of Research and Evaluation for Thurgood Marshall College Fund. He joined TMCF in August 2014 and is responsible for recruiting top talent from TMCF’s member schools for various TMCF programs, overall operational effectiveness of TMCF’s talent management systems as well as data collection and its impact on strategy for TMCF Programs


Andre attended Emory University where he received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology in August 2006.

Dr. Townsend holds degrees from Kentucky State University, The Ohio State University and the University of Dayton. She also received specialized training in diversity education and inclusion from the International MultiCultural Institute.

LaWanda serves as the Federal Reserve Board’s (Board) Special Emphasis Program Specialist and is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives and programs that are in compliance with legislation, Board policies, and strategic objectives pertaining to diversity, EEO, and inclusion. In addition, she provides research, analytic, and administrative oversight of the delivery and execution of financial literacy programs that supports the Board’s compliance under Section 342(f)(5) of the Dodd-Frank Act, which requires partnering with inner-city high schools, girls’ high schools, and high schools with majority minority populations to establish or enhance financial literacy programs and provide mentoring.
