THE MARAUDER ARMY ROTC COLOR
GUARD
Color Guard is one of the most noticeable extra curricular activities within the Marauder ROTC Battalion. Being part of the Cadet Color Guard gives the cadet the insight into how to properly present the national colors for selected events throughout the school year. The cadet color guard will also do joint Color Guard performances with the Air Force ROTC detachment. The Color Guard consists of four highly motivated cadets that take pride in the presentation of the national colors at many events.
This highly specialized team protects and displays the United States colors along with various other colors such as the Ohio State Flag, The Army, and the University colors. To become part of this dedicated group of cadets you must be willing to learn and understand the fundamental movements of Drill and Ceremony, time to practice and participate in the various events for which we present the colors and the pride to do something that others will not do.
Becoming part of the Marauder Battalion Color Guard is easily done. You only need to volunteer to do so. Those cadets will be selected to represent the Marauder Battalion at the various events the color guard will perform at. They include but are not limited to the following: University football games, formal dinners, awards ceremony, commissioning ceremony, HomeComing events, Parades, and other events within the community.
The color guard commander is a MS III cadet (Junior) and is responsible for the training and performance of the color guard at all events with the assistance of the cadre representative (the Senior MS Instructor).
