William Denza
William Denza clanetist, is an associate professor of woodwind studies of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in clarinet performance from Yale University in 1985. From 1980-1985 he was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Denza had performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Because of Dr. Denza's commitment to contemporary music, several compositions have been dedicated to him, including Stephen Peles's "Duo," which Dr. Denza premiered in Carnegie Recital Hall.
