Richard Begel
Richard Begel has been the Instructor of Low Brass at Central State University since 2004. His other college teaching experience includes the Crane School of Music (NY), Michigan State University (graduate assistant), and several other colleges in Michigan and Massachusetts. Mr. Begel has also taught at the Pine Mountain Chamber Music Festival (MI), was the brass choir director at the Park City International Chamber Music Festival (UT), is a cofounder of Summer 'Bones at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and has also taught in the public schools of several states. Mr. Begel frequently performs solo and chamber recitals at CSU and in the surrounding region. In 2008 he founded the group Trombones of Dayton. His orchestral performance experience spans across several states and into Italy, and includes the Cincinnati Symphony, Columbus Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Virginia Symphony, Albany Symphony, and many more. He is currently the Low Brass Instructor and Brass Choir Director at Earlham College and a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.
