Internships and paid cooperative work (over
$12 per hour) are valuable learning experiences for the major
eager to apply classroom knowledge. For example, our majors served
as interns at Wright- Patterson Air Force Base during the summer
of 1998.
-
All faculty members hold advanced degrees
from institutions such as the University of California, Los Angeles,
University of Toledo, Ohio, Notre Dame, and Moscow University
in Russia.
-
Majors work closely with their professors
on faculty research projects, often on a one-to-one basis. These
research activities enable students to learn about topics not
covered in class and to broaden their career options.
-
Our classes are typically small, which allows
individual contact with faculty members.
-
Employers and graduate schools often contact
the faculty directly to identify qualified students for internships,
permanent positions and graduate fellowships.
