ROTC

title Pershing Rifles

Greetings from the Central State Marauders T-1 Company Pershing Rifles. I am P/R Captain Joseph Coleman. Just last spring our Chapter was re-chartered back into the National Society, and we have been slowly putting the pieces back together since then. But first, a lot of people have been wondering what exactly Pershing Rifles is, and I would like to explain.

Pershing Rifles is an honorary Fraternity/Sorority for students wishing to carry on this prestigious tradition. Pershing Riflemen are experts at Drill and Ceremony, they are also hardened leaders, and they train to be proficient in all manners of Military Discipline, Science, and Bearing. Pershing Rifles however, is not ROTC. Therefore any persons be they civilian or military can attempt the process by which to get in.

The process is a pledging process. It is somewhat comparable to that of Rangers, but we take more of a Greek approach. But know that Pershing Rifles is not a greek organization, all training is military oriented. We will be starting a process in the spring if you are interested, and I encourage you to come out.

There are a lot of things planned for next semester, not only are we having a process, but we are planning big things for earth day, and we are training for NATCON, and possibly Blue & White. If you are interested please contact me, P/R 1LT Simmons, P/R 2LT Hayes, or P/R 2LT Jackson. We look forward to hearing from you!
