Adjunct Instructor

As a director, choreographer, performer and teacher, John Fleming’s career spans over thirty years of artistic activity in the theater. Since 2010, he has been an adjunct instructor in theater at Central State University. As Founder and Artistic Director of the YS Kids Playhouse, an interdisciplinary theater for youth, he received numerous awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council. He has a MA in Conflict Resolution from Antioch University. In 2002, he was the first artist to receive a fellowship from the International Peace Research Association. As a performer he has been seen at the Edinborough Festival, Japan’s Toga Festival, the Venice Carnivale, the Montreal International Theater Festival, the Bitef Festival in Belgrade and the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro in Bogota. A native of New Orleans, he currently resides in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
