Eric Knorr

Eric Knorr is principal trumpet in the United States Air Force Band of Flight Concert Band and Wright Brass quintet at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Eric is a founding member of the Oakwood Brass Quintet and is a member of the Wright State University Faculty Brass Quintet and is a regular performer with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bach Society of Dayton and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. His other professional credits include the Omaha Symphony, Akron Symphony, Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, Lima Symphony, and the Ohio Light Opera. Eric may be heard on recordings from the USAF Heartland of America Band and Brass Quintet and has recorded with the critically-acclaimed University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Wind Symphony under the baton of Mr. Eugene Corporon on the Klavier Label. Originally from Wooster, Ohio, Eric graduated from The College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance in 1989 and finished his Master of Music degree from the University of Akron in 1991. He was a full scholarship recipient towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Eric studied trumpet with Dr. Jack Gallagher, Scott Johnston, Gary Davis, Alan Siebert and Marie Speziale.
