Dr. G. Jahwara Giddings

Dr. G. Jahwara Giddings received his Ph.D. in African American Studies from Temple University in 2000 and is an expert in African American nationalist history, Pan-African cultures and Afrocentric pedagogy and Service Learning. Dr. Giddings is the author of Contemporary Afrocentric Scholarship: Toward a functional cultural philosophy (2003) and has won numerous travel grants for his ongoing research on African Guyanese culture. Dr. Giddings was born in Guyana, South America and enjoys reading Toni Morrison, Caryl Phillips and August Wilson.
