Dr. Anthony Milburn received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. While having formally studied and taught in all of the degree granting disciplines housed within the Department of Humanities, his areas of expertise include American, African American and Native American, Russian/Soviet, Asian and World History, Literature and Philosophy. In addition, to teaching in these areas he has also had the opportunity to work on the Academy Award winning feature film GLORY! and with the Ohio Historical Society. Dr. Milburn has also served on the Governor’s Commissions for celebration of the state’s bicentennial and the War of 1812.
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Milburn’s interests are scuba diving, combat sports (he is the advisor to the university’s Bando Kickboxing Club), photography, and motorcycle riding.
