CSU-STEM-X-ED Scholars Summer Bridge Program

Central State University will host the 2012 DoD Scholars Summer Bridge Program for 16 incoming freshmen majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math from June 10 through July 6.

Be an incoming freshmen to CSU majoring in STEM disciplines with a cumulative grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale with at least a 22 ACT. Up to a $6,000 scholarship per year for four years to Central State University will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.


The program is designed to provide participants with the basic tools needed to succeed in their respective programs during their freshman year at CSU. The program will focus on developing skills such as applying mathematics in physical and biological sciences, engineering, and technology; laboratory experimentation for science and engineering; and using computer for experimentation and research.  The four week program will consist of lectures, computer work, laboratory work and visits to advanced research laboratories in the area.
